Ceasar Azpilicueta calls for unity after Chelsea fans called for Sarri's sacking

…if we want to achieve our targets we have to improve – Chelsea captain

Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock reacts during the match against Chelsea in Cardiff

"I know the fans will be behind us, but we have to give them what they want - fighting spirit, great football, and scoring goals".

Sarri did, however, advise the disgruntled Chelsea fans to stick with the players during matches and leave their barrage of criticism for after the full-time whistle.

Callum Hudson-Odoi says Maurizio Sarri told him to go and express himself after he helped Chelsea to a crucial 3-0 win over Brighton at Stamford Bridge this evening.

"We keep getting knock-backs, I will probably play the U23s on Wednesday against Manchester City and try to keep it down to 10 or 11", Warnock said.

"That's what we both want and we have to pull in the same direction".

3 things learned as Manchester United suffer crushing defeat to Wolves
United could have been 3-0 up inside the first 20 minutes before Diogo Jota cancelled out Scott McTominay's first senior goal. And we created our own downfall really. "This was always going to be a tough game and the performance deserved a win".

Azpilicueta's first goal in nearly a year was mired in controversy as he was clearly in an offside position when he diverted home Marcos Alonso's flick-on.

Azipilicueta accepted Sarri's side must improve during the final weeks of the season to secure a Champions League place. We had to get rhythm and bounced back well.

Cardiff City are now 18th on the Premier League table and we are pretty confident that Warnock will come to his senses and name a regular first Xi on Wednesday.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Warnock said: "When I came in yesterday, she [his wife] said: "If you had wanted to thump the referee and linesman I wouldn't have stopped you".

It was Cardiff's 17th successive defeat against a side now in the top six and leaves them in real danger of relegation.

Varane "thinking about" leaving Real Madrid, says agent
He is part of this squad and of this club since he was 16 or 17 years olf. He is a good player and we always ask more from him.

Hudson-Odoi has made 19 appearances for Chelsea this season and scored five goals but he is yet to start in the Premier League.

Sarri was subjected to vitriolic abuse from Chelsea supporters at Cardiff on Sunday in response to a painful performance that was just six minutes away from serving as the nadir of a miserable first season for the Blues boss.

"That could be the decision that costs us everything, because I thought we could put pressure on the other clubs, but now we're battling against the odds again". We're having too many honest mistakes and it's always the top teams who get the decisions.

"What we have done is showed that we won't be rolled over like some teams".

"In the end we deserved to win".
