New England Patriots fans who forgot that Monday is April Fools' Day might have been panicking when quarterback Tom Brady tweeted that he had made a decision to retire.

Brady, who turns 42 on August 3, used a picture from the Patriots' Super Bowl parade as part of his Twitter profile.

New England almost fell apart in panic, thanks to Tom Brady's first ever tweet. The four-time Super Bowl MVP finished the 2018 season with 4,355 yards, 29 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
