U.S. Rep. Mark Pocan, D-Wisconsin, seems to equate homophobia with the plight of the Palestinians. House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney of Wisconsin slammed it as a "sham" resolution. Taken literally, the resolution implies that the majority of the House of Representatives supported bigotry prior to Thursday's 407-23 vote.
Despite statements from multiple lawmakers rejecting Omar's statement, the representative wasn't named in the House resolution. Some of these slanders are as disturbing or more so than the words causing Omar trouble. "The droning of countries around the world...that was Obama".
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosidefended Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar during a sitdown with The Economic Club in Washington, D.C., on Friday, telling those in attendance that she believed Omar "didn't realize" the "fraught" meaning of her words when the freshman representative questioned US political support for Israel.

Radio Sputnik's Loud and Clear spoke with Ariel Gold, peace activist and co-director of Codepink, about the resolution and the movement behind Omar. They argued over whether Omar should be singled out, what other types of bias should be decried in the text and whether the party would tolerate dissenting views on Israel.
The House resolution should have been limited to reprimanding Omar in this instance.
"I want to talk about the political influence in this country that says it is okay for people to push for allegiance to a foreign country", Omar said at a March 1 event at a book store in the capitol. The ad - which featured images of billionaire philanthropist George Soros, Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein and then-Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen, all of whom are Jewish - was "the most anti-Semitic TV ad in American history", Raskin said.
Trump urged Kim to go 'all in' on nuclear poker
North Korea, which has previously tried to explain Warmbier's death as being caused by botulism, did not participate in the case. On Thursday Trump said: "I don't believe that he would have allowed that to happen, it just wasn't to his advantage to happen".
Gareth Bale's Agent: Real Madrid Fans Are 'A Disgrace'
David Moyes has revealed he tried to make Gareth Bale his first signing when he became manager of Manchester United back in 2013. I will not name names but we need 20 goals from two or three players. "They're different players, you can't compare them.
