The Voice contestant dies aged 33

Representatives for The Voice singer Janice Freeman confirmed her death, hours after the 33-year-old suddenly died from complications of a blood clot Saturday.

Freeman has dealt with multiple health issues throughout her life, including cervical cancer, meningitis and lupus. She died Saturday evening, ET said.

Freeman was 33 and is survived by her husband and daughter Hannah.

Janice was reportedlt at home with her husband, Dion, when she began to complain that she was unable to breathe. She was pronounced dead around 5:30 p.m.at a hospital after a blood clot seemingly traveled to her heart.

The statement continued, "A survivor and fighter, and a lovely force in this world, Janice gained notoriety through her success on NBC's The Voice as a member of Miley Cyrus's team".
