Victor Oladipo Suffers Possible Season-Ending Knee Injury

Victor Oladipo

The Pacers issued a statement calling the injury "serious" and saying that Oladipo will have an MRI on Thursday to examine the extent of the damage. An MRI was taken on Thursday revealing the scope of the injury, and Oladipo will undergo surgery at a date to be determined. The 26-year-old was averaging 18.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.7 steals per game, while draining 2.1 threes. However, Oladipo's potential loss would be a huge blow to his team, which is in third place in the Eastern Conference but which relies heavily on his scoring and playmaking skills. He missed 11 games earlier this season with a sore right knee, and the Pacers went 7-4 in that stretch.

Oladipo was attempting to chase down a ball heading for Raptors forward Pascal Siakam when Oladipo's leg bent awkwardly.

Reaction to the injury poured in quickly across social media. "He's huge for us on a nightly basis and we have to be huge for him in this process and make sure we get wins in his name".
