The teaser-trailer doesn't offer much in terms of spoilers for the season but it certainly gave us chills.
Ominous in tone, the clip sees Jon Snow, Sansa and Arya walking through a darkly lit crypt at what we are led to believe is their ancestral home of Winterfell. The implication is all three may be facing their doom.
The as yet unnamed series takes place thousands of years before the events in Game Of Thrones, with HBO saying it "chronicles the world's descent from the Age Of Heroes into its darkest hour". So long as Jon keeps his ties to the Starks, the group of them stand a better chance at surviving the fight ahead. It's been a while since Game of Thrones has graced our screens, but fans will remember this as the line Lyanna says to her brother Ned on her death bed, shortly after giving birth to baby Jon (or more correctly, baby Aegon). Jon walks past the grave of his dead mother, Lyanna; Sansa and Arya past their mother Catelyn; and Jon hears the words of his father (well, technically uncle) Ned Stark: "You might not have my name, but you have my blood".
So you can imagine he's poured over every single second of the first glimpse at Game of Thrones since 2017.
John Kelly breaks with Trump: 'To be honest, it's not a wall'
Trump also sought to push back against Democratic arguments that a border wall is an antiquated approach to illegal immigration. The president shut down the government, demanding $5 billion for his border wall but Democrats have refused to meet the demand.
There's also the question of Bran Stark's absence in the trailer, which some fans are taking as evidence of a particularly wild long-standing theory: that Bran will actually become the Night King after getting stuck back in time at the end of the series.
The final season of "Game of Thrones" is comprised of six feature-length episodes as it brings to a close HBO's adaptation of George R.R. Martin's fantasy epic book series.
This is without a doubt my most anticipated piece of entertainment releasing in 2019 and I can't wait to see how they end things for the show.
That means that right before the premiere launches at 9 p.m. EST, HBO will announce the official Game of Thrones season 8 premiere date.
Hopman Cup: Federer beat Tiafoe and looks forward to playing Serena
There's a reason why he's a greatest because you can't be that great and not have such an awesome weapon like that serve. I'm sorry it had to finish. "It was a great experience". "This guy is great, both off the court and on the court".
Are you as excited for Thrones Season 8 as I am, what do you think of the little teaser video? "I don't know if we were crying because we were sad it was ending or if we were crying because it was so fucking tiring", added the actor.
Winter is coming - but in Spring though.
