Las Vegas Police Issue Warrant for Cristiano Ronaldo's DNA in Rape Case

Woman claims Ronaldo threatened to have her “cut up” and her body “thrown in a river”
Cristiano Ronaldo has been asked for a DNA sample as he cooperates with police in Las Vegas over allegations he raped USA woman Kathryn Mayorga in the city in 2009, according to American media reports.
"Mr. Ronaldo has always maintained, as he does today, that what occurred in Las Vegas in 2009 was consensual in nature", Christiansen wrote, "so it is not surprising that DNA would be present, nor that the police would make this very standard request as part of their investigation".
The police investigation was reopened at Mayorga's request last August, shortly before the former model and schoolteacher filed a civil lawsuit in state court claiming that Ronaldo raped her and that she had been paid $375,000 to keep it secret. Recalling the interaction, Mayorga told Der Spiegel that Ronaldo had made a remark suggesting he was a good person minus that "1 percent".
It was there that Ronaldo forced himself on Ms. Mayorga while she begged him to stop, she alleges. Provided everything in the warrant is correct, police in Italy would now be expected to collect a sample of Ronaldo's DNA to be sent to authorities in Las Vegas.
The Portuguese forward was accused in September of sexually assaulting American woman Kathryn Mayorga in a hotel room in Las Vegas in June 2009 - a claim he denied.
Jasmine Lennard, an English model and actress, posted on her Twitter account that she has years worth of messages that would back up her claims that Ronaldo was abusive, and unrepentant about his behavior, towards her and other women.
A key piece of evidence in the investigation is a dress from the night in question nine years ago. Now, however, she wants to void her non-disclosure agreement and bring Ronaldo to justice. The Journal reported that Mayorga's DNA is on the dress, and so is the DNA of an unknown party.
