On Saturday, multiple outlets reported Netflix had canceled Marvel's Luke Cage after two seasons.
Season 2 of Netflix'sLuke Cage premiered on Friday and much like the first season, the show is backed by an excellent soundtrack which just so happens to include brand new music from the legendary Rakim. "Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is grateful to the dedicated showrunner, writers, cast and crew who brought Harlem's Hero to life for the past two seasons, and to all the fans who have supported the series", Netflix and Marvel Television said in a joint statement.
10 things to know about Apple's 'affordable' new iPhone
It'll be available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage options as well as black, blue, yellow, white, coral, and red color options. We can expect other operators like Jio and Vodafone-Idea to reveal their pre-order details soon.
So given where things ended in the second season of Luke Cage, with Luke becoming the proprietor of Harlem's Paradise and effectively becoming part of the mob game, combined with those involved talking about what the future could hold in a potential third season, it felt, for a moment, that the future was bright for Harlem's Hero.
"I am forever grateful to Marvel and Netflix for letting me portray such a prolific character, and I thank you incredible fans", he wrote alongside a photo of him with his newborn. It seemed that both Luke Cage and Iron Fist had overcome some of their respective early stumbles and showed significant improvement in their sophomore seasons.
Coping with global warming, rising mental issues
He says that before their study, there was no particular discussion of the impact of climate changes on the mental health. Tarun Dua, mental health expert at WHO, explained: "Half of mental health disorders arise before the age of 14".
Since no deal could be struck, the show was cancelled, taking the Marvel Netflix catalog down to just a few - signaling perhaps a shift in strategy for both companies as Netflix produces more and more content which it owns in its entirety and Disney aiming to begin its own streaming service. Don't be surprised if that stays that way and Daredevil and The Punisher joins the rest on the cancellation heap next year. We have heard that Disney is not considering moving Luke Cage to the upcoming Disney Play service for a third season. I swear to God, we'd better hear something about a Heroes for Hire series like, YESTERDAY.
The news came just one week after "Iron Fist" was also axed, leaving "Daredevil" and "Jessica Jones" as the two remaining Marvel shows on the platform.
