Update: Tanzanian billionaire Mohammed Dewji rescued

Hunt on as Tanzanian billionaire Mohamed Dewji abducted in Dar

Police have mobilized across Tanzania to search for a man described as Africa's youngest billionaire after he was kidnapped by gunmen Thursday morning in the nation's capital, Dar es Salaam.

Two of the kidnappers were white men, he added.

Mohammed Dewji, 43, who is reportedly worth $1.5 billion (£1.1 billion) and is the president of MeTL Group, which operates in about 10 countries was abducted as he entered a hotel gym.

Dar es Salaam special zone police commander Lazaro Mambosasa said security personnel around the country have been put on high alert in the hunt for the abductors.

Republicans control the Senate by a 51-49 margin. "She testified for hours, and she remembered a whole lot more than the fact that she had one beer".

Unlike Mr Lissu, Mr Dewji, who served as a ruling party MP until 2015, has been careful to demonstrate his loyalty to Tanzania's increasingly authoritarian leader on numerous occasions.

According to Forbes, Dewji has amassed a fortune of $1.5 billion, making him the youngest billionaire on the African continent.

In 2013, he became the first Tanzanian to grace the cover of Forbes magazine and was named Forbes Africa Person of the Year in 2015.

He said police were looking for suspects and had already made arrests.

Sparks fly between Pogba and Mourinho on training ground
In a curious twist of fate it was left to 35-year-old Lee Grant, United's third-choice keeper, to fill the void between the posts. It was a sweet moment for Derby boss Lampard, who enjoyed so much success working under Mourinho during their time at Chelsea .

The regional governor Paul Makonda said, "Initial information indicates he was kidnapped by whites traveling in two vehicles".

Dewji heads up the METL Group, which was established in the 1970s by his father and calls itself Tanzania's "largest home-grown company", according to its website.

Mr Dewji, locally known as Mo, is credited with turning his family business from a wholesale and retail enterprise into a pan-African conglomerate, reports the BBC's Athuman Mtulya from Dar es Salaam.
