Manhunt underway after West Bank shooting
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said troops would soon apprehend the "despicable murderer" and "bring him to justice".
Seven Arabs were arrested in Samaria early Tuesday in connection with the murders of 29-year-old Kim Levengrond Yehezkel and 35-year-old Ziv Hajbi, as well as the wounding of 54-year-old Sara Vaturi, at their workplace on Sunday morning.
Surveillance video from the factory after the attack showed the gunman fleeing down a flight of stairs and then running past shocked onlookers.
The zone is located near the Israeli settlement of Barkan and the settlement of Ariel located in the north of the West Bank.
The suspect was identified by the Shin Bet security service as a 23-year-old Palestinian man from the area of the West Bank city of Tul Karem.
"Bloomberg editors agreed with CAMERA that the officials' position was misrepresented, and commendably amended the article to refer to the killing two Israelis and wounding a third in what officials characterized as a terror attack", as opposed to militant attack.
Israeli forces conduct overnight detention raids nearly on a daily basis across the West Bank, triggering clashes with residents.
Palestinians often face tough choices in finding employment in the economically struggling West Bank and jobs in Israeli settlements can provide steady income.
Israeli media said the shooter was a former worker at the factory before he was sacked recently. The Palestinian economy is heavily restricted under Israeli military rule, forcing tens of thousands of Palestinians to seek work in Israel as well as in Jewish settlements.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said the assailant entered the factory shortly before 08:00 local time (05:00 GMT), armed with a homemade sub-machine gun known as a "Carlo".
