New Details Reveal Tension, Disputes Within Jury In Paul Manafort Trial

Tuesday morning - Day 4 of deliberation - Reporters Covering Manafort's bank and tax fraud trial began to hyperventilate with word the jury had handed Judge T.S. Ellis a note asking, "if we can not come to a consensus on a single count" against President Donald Trump's former campaign manager, how should they fill in the verdict form. There, she said she "did not want Paul Manafort to be guilty", but called the evidence "overwhelming".

Duncan, an ardent Trump supporter who was nonetheless swayed by the sheer amount of evidence the prosecutors possessed, said that the jury deliberations were tense and peppered with angry and emotional outbursts. In the first public comments by a juror in the case, Duncan said that 11 jurors were in agreement that Manafort was guilty on all 18 felony charges but that they could not get the one holdout to change her mind after almost four days of deliberations.

Duncan said that the remaining juror felt that she had reasonable doubt. "Write in and tell us what grade you would give the President, here at Fox & Friends!"

"I will probably touch on the counts but maybe focus more on being chosen to be a juror and the environment we are in right now", she said. "There was one holdout".

"I did not want Paul Manafort to be guilty".

During the Fox interview, conducted Wednesday at the White House, host Ainsley Earhardt asked Trump whether he would pardon Manafort.

Enter Trump. The president has publicly said a couple times since Manafort's conviction that Manafort is a good or courageous man.

Trump has admiringly talked about how Manafort did not "flip" on him and was ebullient when Judge T.S. Ellis said that the prosecution only wanted to go after Manafort to get him.

Giuliani said he and Sekulow provided their advice to delay any possible pardons for people linked to the Mueller probe in the past "three to five weeks" - in the wake of a series of pardons Trump granted this summer. But neither Mr. Manafort nor Mr. Cohen are believed to be cooperating with the Special Counsel - situations that could change now that they face years in prison. Those types of discussions should not be held until the jury gets the case.

The President will be on the show on Thursday for a wide-ranging interview, discussing Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation in to Russian hacking of the 2016 presidential election, the payoffs to porn star Stormy Daniels and Playboy playmate Karen McDougal.

Paul Manafort, President Donald Trump's former campaign chairman, leaves the federal courthouse in Washington, DC, Nov. 6, 2017.

A year ago, Graham said "there will be holy hell to pay" if Trump ousted Sessions, who served for years as a senator alongside Graham and Grassley.

She also said the jury "agreed to throw out the testimony" of Manafort protege Rick Gates, who pleaded guilty in Mueller's investigation and agreed to cooperate with investigators, and focus instead on the documents.

Giuliani said Trump's concern for Manafort is what motivates him to consider a pardon. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) think Attorney General Jeff Sessions is on his way out - and they seem ready to replace him.
