The One Plus 6T will have some serious help to take on the Pixel 3 in October
While there will be an unlocked version for the United States and global market, OnePlus is working on a model that has been especially optimised for the T-Mobile network.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the so-called "Uncarrier" T-Mobile US is the partner OnePlus has come to an agreement with, and the magenta-coloured network provider will sell the OnePlus 6T when it launches a little later this year.
In the USA, securing a carrier is crucial to gaining marketshare.
It's not hard to understand their trepidation. However, the lack of carrier availability (at least in the U.S.) is still a barrier for some potential customers that keep them from pulling the trigger. Huawei was embarrassed after its collaboration with AT&T to sell the Mate 10 Pro was shut down at the 11th hour, over pressure from the USA officials fearing a link between the Shenzhen-based manufacturer and the Chinese government. OnePlus 6T is going to be priced higher at $550 (Rs 38,300 approximately), but it may not be the final price, the report added. Lau and Pei have long attributed the direct-sales, online-only strategy as the primary way the company is able to offer its flagship-quality handsets for so cheap. The company did take a while to partner with a carrier, but that is fine. OnePlus' products have already steadily risen in price since the company's very first foray, the OnePlus One, launched at $299 four years ago. Basically, the OnePlus 6T will cost much more than its predecessor. Over time, it increased the price until it had a healthy margin on the devices, but OnePlus phones are still hundreds of dollars less than flagship phones from Samsung or LG. Generally, when a smartphone manufacturer tries to enter the USA market with a carrier, it would rather invest a fortune with a cheap smartphone but with OnePlus, the matter is different as it will be releasing its flagship smartphone due to its cult following that it has garnered over the years.
Turkey 'not a friend,' president says
After the USA imposed tariffs and sanctions, Turkey fired back with tariffs of its own on a variety of goods, including cars. Yesterday, a Turkish court rejected an appeal to release Brunson from house arrest, broadcaster Haberturk said.
Josh Allen doesn't care what Jalen Ramsey thinks of him
Ramsey praised his own quarterback, Blake Bortles , for doing what the team asked and carrying them to the playoffs last season. He finished the season with 268 carries for 1,040 total rushing yards, nine rushing touchdowns and a receiving touchdown.
