Solo: A Star Wars Story - four more posters land

On the other hand no franchise rakes in more than $42 billion without being able to keep a good thing going. But that’s all that Solo A Star Wars Story is good

Star Wars fans can catch Glover's Lando in Solo when it opens next week.

Every now and then, the far quirkier movie Solo could have been had Philip Lord and Christopher Miller stayed on board slips through (they were fired and replaced by Ron Howard halfway through).

No lightsabers are on display and nor is there any sign of Darth Vader but Solo: "A Star Wars Story delivers exactly what you want and expect from a movie about the young Han Solo".

Speaking with Premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy confirmed the studio's plans for a Lando Calrissian movie. Ron Howard is Solo's credited director, but we all know he didn't start out that way, and I confess to spending the first little bit of Solo trying to spot the joints. We finally get answers to some not-exactly-pressing questions, like, how did Solo get his name? Oh there are references-ho ho ho, don't think there aren't copious, winky references, but they're in-jokes rather than any of the "Dun Dun Dun" grave nods to stuff that's coming, as happened in Rogue One and literally all of the prequels.

The main plot involves that aforementioned Kessel Run, a smuggler's route, and a rush delivery of a highly prized but also highly explosive substance called coaxium.

There's a lot for fans to digest as the film speeds through a check-list of Han's origin components, like how he meets Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo), Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) and how he comes across the Millennium Falcon.

Without spoiling Solo: A Star Wars Story, there are a couple threads left dangling that could lead to possible sequels featuring Han Solo and Chewbacca.

No longer a favourite, Woods happy to be in Players field
It proved how Rose, three years from his 40th birthday, is playing the game still because he loves it and he wants to win . A three-time victor of the Claret Jug, he has not contested the game's oldest major since 2015 because of injury.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi has a healthy 91 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, although it got divisive opinions by average movie goers.

Remember what I said about Ehrenreich not really resembling or imitating Harrison Ford, and yet doing such a great job?

We're just happy that we probably haven't seen the last of Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian.

Woody Harrelson also completely owns his screen time in the new role of Solo's outlaw mentor Tobias Beckett.

Marquez wins eventful Spanish Grand Prix
In the 9th lap Hondo's Marquez makes his move and takes the lead with Dovizioso moving ahead of Pedrosa to take third. Seven-time MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi finished fifth at the race.

Also starring Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Joonas Suotamo, and Paul Bettany, it's out across the United Kingdom on May 24.

There are some interesting roles for women, who have characters with fascinating histories and motivations of their own.

What legendary screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan ("The Empire Strikes Back", "Raiders of the Lost Ark") and his lifelong Lucasfilm-devotee son Jonathan Kasdan ("Freaks and Geeks", "Dawson's Creek") have done is transplanted a long list of heist-movie tropes onto the Star Wars framework- a concept that works well enough but never quite breaks any new ground, narrative-wise. As with any other movie in which the original director was sacked and replaced with another midway through production, it's not clear which director or directors are responsible for which scenes.

Thanos Wipes Out Box Office Competition as Avengers Dominates Week 2
However, the film lost out to Star Wars: The Force Awakens which grossed an wonderful $149 million in its second ever weekend. It just remains to be seen where Infinity War ends its run, and how many records it can break on the way there.
