Florida high school teacher under investigation after shocking video emerges of him drowning wild raccoons in a large bin in front of his students during class

The teacher then caught raccoons in cages, "took the cages, filled up large trash cans full of water, and had the children drown the raccoons in the cages inside the water, inside the trash cans", she said.

In the clip, students can be seen standing around a black trashcan filled with water. "It's awful. It still does make me sick to my stomach", she said, according to Channel9.

A 14-second video published by WKMG-TV in Orlando show a group of students filling a big tub of water using a hose and later keeping a raccoon, which was inside a metal wire trap, submerged.

"We received statements that the teacher drowned multiple animals in front of students, and with student participation, because the animals were nuisance animals to the [agriculture] program at the school", Marion County School District spokesman Kevin Christian told the Star-Banner.

"My son joined ag science, because he loves animals not to torture them", a parent told Fox 35, which was also provided the video but called it "too disturbing" to share.
