This creates opportunity for Honda race leader Marquez to take a 12 point world championship lead after this great result at the Jerez Angel Nieto racetrack in Spain.
Pedrosa, who underwent wrist surgery less than a month ago, was thrown high over his bike and onto the asphalt after trying to go past the two Ducatis on the inside of the sunny Jerez circuit in southern Spain.
The race continues with Marc Marquez riding to victory easily followed by Johann Zarco in second, while Iannone takes third ahead of Petrucci and Rossi.
In the 9th lap Hondo's Marquez makes his move and takes the lead with Dovizioso moving ahead of Pedrosa to take third.
That left Marquez, who had manoeuvred into the lead from a fifth-place start, free to increase the gap and never be challenged as the four-time MotoGP champion cruised to his 37th career victory in the top category. Dovizioso dropped to fifth overall with 46.
Lorenzo had shot off the line and into the lead, using Soft tyres, where he remained for several laps, until Marquez eventually made a clean move into the final corner. "I pushed.here the race is very long and you must manage many things".
"I started from the second row but I was clever to overtake the other riders in the beginning", the Spanish rider said, adding, "It was almost impossible to overtake Lorenzo".
Seven-time MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi finished fifth at the race.
Suzuki's Andrea Iannone held the spot for much of the race though was demoted by Pramac's Danilo Petrucci - only to re-take the position a few laps later, in the process claiming successive podium finishes for Suzuki.
