Adelaide Oval won't host an ODI on Australia Day next year while the fate of the day-night Test remains in doubt
This rules out a home day-night Test against the West Indies in October as well, despite the fact that the Cricket West Indies had agreed to play one during their visit to India.
The statement comes after CA released its entire 2018-19 global fixture, comprising of 22 matches across the formats, without confirming whether it would continue its recent tradition of hosting a pink-ball match at Adelaide Oval. Since November 2015, Adelaide has hosted one day-night Test every year.
CA chief executive James Sutherland said it was his organisation's preference to use the day-night format for the Adelaide fixture.
Sky Sports has secured the rights to broadcast ball-by-ball coverage of Ireland's inaugural Test - against Pakistan - and the T20I series against India.
Subsequently, Australia will play three-match ODI series against India, beginning January 12 at the Sydney Cricket Ground, ESPNcricinfo reported.
