Marchand, Rask lead Bruins over Maple Leafs in Game 4 to grab 3-1 series lead
The Maple Leafs scored first (for the 1 time in the series) on a power play goal by James van Riemsdyk.
The Bruins were outplayed and out-chanced by the Leafs for a majority of the contest, but they managed to escape with a pivotal win that pushes the series to 3-1 in Boston's favor.
No sooner had Patrice Bergeron been nominated for a fifth Selke Award Wednesday than the heart-and-soul of the Bruins was ruled out of Game 4 with an upper-body injury just minutes before the opening faceoff Thursday.
Nash took Bergeron's spot up the middle on the top line alongside David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand on Thursday and did enough to make the Bruins forget that their four-time Selke Trophy victor was a late scratch from the lineup.
Game 4 goes Thursday at Air Canada Centre, with Game 5 set for Saturday in Boston.
"It was a real ugly OT-winner goal", Eller said, per Roman Stubbs of the Washington Post.

The B's played the flawless road game, getting great goalie tending, playing good defense and being opportunistic on offense.
Toronto's offense utilized numerous stretch passes in Game 3 to wake up their dormant offense. Some will point to the trade deadline where the Maple Leafs were unable to acquire additional support for their blue line and question if it was a missed opportunity. "We all believe in each other in this locker room and on the bench".
The Leafs outplayed the B's, who were sloppy and missing Patrice Bergeron, for much of the night.
A four-time Selke Award victor as the NHL's best defensive forward and the Bruins' No. 3 scorer this year with 63 points in 64 games, Bergeron broke his foot while blocking a shot on February 24 and was sidelined for a month. "I thought the same with (William Nylander)". He's done a good job and you gotta give him a lot of credit. David Pastrnak has 11 points (four goals, seven assists), Brad Marchand has seven (two goals, five assists) and Bergeron, the other member of the trio when he's healthy, has five assists.
Kadri said his teammates know he was just trying to protect one of their own on the play.
"It's exciting to get back in", he said.
Kadri, speaking to reporters in Toronto on Friday for the first time since the suspension, said he delivered the risky hit because he felt Wingles was "taking liberties" with a previous hit on Marner.
Kadri, who has three previous suspensions, doesn't exactly agree with that assessment.
"Was it worthy of a suspension?"
"I was. I kind of hung back", he said.
Game three was a very different game than the first two. Toronto head coach Mike Babcock shifted his lines around with former Bruin and Harvard star Dominic Moore making his first appearance of the series in Game 3 on their fourth line.
Krug struck quickly with Boston's first goal on a wrister from the top of the left circle just 28 seconds into the game.
Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask finished with 31 saves.
"I'll tell you right now, if we're worn out three games in, holy crap", he said.
