Secret 2K Studio Working on Next Bioshock

New Bioshock game

After the troubled release of Mafia III, numerous people who worked on the title moved on to new studios. It's mostly about how developer, Hangar 13 were unsatisfied with how the game was received and how they felt they lost their way during development. In the years since, news relating to the BioShock franchise has been quiet.

Aside from BioShock Collection in 2016, The widely popular series has been seemingly on hold since the release of Burial at Sea downloadable content in 2013 for Bioshock Infinite, however, it looks like 2k Games haven't given up on the IP as reportedly a new Bioshock game is in development.

Meanwhile revised versions of the 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre EcoBoost petrol engines can be had, complete with cylinder deactivation. The starting prices are considerably lower than the outgoing model , with the range beginning at £17,930 for the Style model.

During this time, the studio was going through some major hardships both with sales and massive layoffs. BioShock and BioShock Infinite concluded with a solid ending for the series while BioShock 2 was loosely connected to the core series and wasn't developed by Irrational Games who led the project since its debut.

Whether this studio is the same one working on the next BioShock at the moment is not known. Still, and since 2K Games has not confirmed anything yet, take it with a grain of salt.
