After the USA warmongering rhetoric against Syria and its allies, Russian Federation warned the United States against striking Syria.

Speaking after a closed-door U.N. Security Council meeting requested by Bolivia over threats of military action in Syria by U.S. President Donald Trump, Nebenzia said the situation was even more risky because Russian troops are in Syria.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that he hopes "common sense" will prevail in an increasingly "chaotic" world.

U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis also injected an element of caution, telling the House Armed Services Committee on Thursday that his greatest fear of a potential strike on Syria is that the conflict would "escalate out of control, if you get my drift".

"I can confirm ... that the deconfliction line at the CAOC (Combined Air Operations Center at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar) remains in use and continues to offer a constructive mechanism with which to mitigate risk and miscalculation", Pickart was quoted as saying. "So the United States military may decide to use a different method".

Trump has said publicly that sharing military plans could give enemies information they could use to their advantage.

Meanwhile, Macron told reporters Wednesday, "We are continuing to exchange technical and strategic information with our allies in order to define our reaction, which will occur in the coming days. Get ready Russian Federation, because they will be coming, nice and new and 'smart!'" Trump wrote on Twitter. Among the USA military top brass "there are no madmen - these are professionals who aren't populists and know what this could lead to".

He said: "On April 7, probably the last attempt to stage a chemical weapons attack in Eastern Ghouta was made".

Trump's threats of retaliatory military action prompted a slew of Russian comments that warned that U.S. strikes could trigger direct military clash between the two former Cold War adversaries. Trump tweeted earlier Wednesday in a message aimed at Russian officials. "The president has a number of options at his disposal". President [Vladimir] Putin, Russia and Iran are responsible for backing Animal Assad.

In another series of tweets, Trump bemoaned the state of U.S. -Russia relationship, saying it "is worse now than it has ever been, and that includes the Cold War".

Since World War II, Germany tends to limit itself to supporting roles rather than military action, but she said that the violation of global rules against chemical weapons was serious.

Addressing the possibility of a United States strike, he added, "I want to hope that all countries will avoid steps which essentially haven't been sparked by anything and which may destabilize the fragile situation in the region".
