GOP strategist to Trump A ‘storm is coming’ in Russia investigation

He pleaded guilty on February 20 as Mr Mueller ramped up his investigation into potential collusion between Mr Trump's presidential campaign and Russian Federation.

Van der Zwaan asked to receive no sentence because his wife is six months pregnant.

In February Van der Zwaan pleaded guilty to making false statements concerning his phone calls, and emails with Richard Gates, a former aide for the Trump campaign. Manafort is the only figure tied to the Trump campaign and charged by Mueller who hasn't struck a plea deal.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into collusion between Russian Federation and the Trump campaign has claimed its first scalp. He has said he met with Kilimnik in person in May 2016 and again in New York City in August 2016, about two weeks before Manafort resigned as Trump's campaign chairman. Mr Trump has not been accused of any wrongdoing.

Inflation is expected to ease further in the short term although to remain above the 2% target. Economists and investors believe the next increase from the BOE could come as soon as May.

Rosenstein also empowered Mueller to investigate allegations Manafort "committed a crime or crimes by colluding with Russian government officials" to interfere with the presidential election.

Van der Zwaan is a London-based lawyer who formerly worked at global law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. "He put his personal interest ahead of the interests of justice", the judge said.

Manafort and Gates were charged with laundering money and other violations in connection with their years of work on behalf of the Ukrainian government and former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych, who was a political rival of Tymoshenko.

"His career has been destroyed, he has been separated from his friends and family, and he faces the possibility of missing the birth of his first child". Alfa Bank, which he co-founded, is the largest non-state owned bank in Russian Federation, according to Forbes.

Facebook Stops Playing Hide-And-Seek With Its Privacy Settings
Now, instead of having the settings spread across 20 different pages, Facebook has now condensed them all to a single page. Facebook apparently still plans to launch them later this year, though they may undergo some changes first.

Van der Zwaan was the fourth guilty plea in the Mueller investigation after Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos and former national security adviser Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to investigators a year ago and agreed to cooperate, and an online supplier of fake usernames pleaded guilty to identity fraud in February.

"I just can't say, 'Pay your fine at the door and go, '" Jackson said at the hearing, in explaining her sentence.

On Tuesday, Jackson said she recognized that van der Zwaan has been away from his family for months, during which his wife is going through a hard pregnancy.

The Skadden report has been controversial in Ukraine in part because its findings seemed to contradict the worldwide community's conclusion that Tymoshenko had been unjustly jailed.

Traders and pedestrians killed in bomb attack on Somalia hotel
Somali police said the blast had killed at least four people along with the driver of the auto , and injured around 10 others. At least 14 people were killed when al Shabaab set off a bomb outside a busy Mogadishu hotel on Thursday.

At a November 2017 interview with the special counsel, van der Zwaan lied to Mueller's team about conversations he had with Gates in September 2016, as well as with a person known in court documents as "Person A".
