LeBron James logs 867th straight double-digit scoring game to break Michael Jordan's record

Over and Back: Celebrating NBA MVP runners-up

LeBron James continued his assault on the National Basketball Association record book, passing Michael Jordan for consecutive games with at least 10 points in the Cleveland Cavaliers 107-102 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday.

James passed Jordan for this distinct honor early in the Cleveland Cavaliers' Friday night come from behind victory against the New Orleans Pelicans.

On Saturday, James wrote on Instagram that he is "humbled and grateful to be linked with the greats".

To put James' double-digit scoring mark in perspective, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the NBA's career scoring leader, scored at least 10 in 787 consecutive games.

Paul McCartney Pays Tribute to John Lennon at Rally
McCartney told CNN at the march, "One of my best friends was killed in gun violence right around here so it's important to me". There were more than 800 marches across the US and the world.

During his streak, James has twice scored fewer than 10 points in a playoff game, both times with the Miami Heat. "But any time a statistical category comes up and I'm able to accomplish something like that, I mean it's pretty incredible".

No active player is within 600 games of James' record, but he wouldn't bite when asked Friday if he thought it was a record that would never been broken.

The last time James failed to reach double-digits came against the Milwaukee Bucks on January 5, 2007. "And I've been around some great teammates and coaches, and two organizations that have allowed me to be who I am, that's two".

"My motivation is love of the game", he said.

Fresh Violence Reported in West Bengal over Ram Navami Rallies by BJP
The TMC had said earlier this month it would observe Ram Navami in several districts with huge rallies. Sword-wielding BJP supporters had defied the state government's ban on armed rallies on Ram Navami .

But James said records aren't what motivates him.

Swain said that before deciding whether Take-Two committed copyright infringement, she wanted to know how the "average lay observer" would see the tattoos while playing the game, and how prominent the tattoos actually were.

James' record underscores his durability, reliability and scoring skill. "You all know Cal Ripken and his ability to be out on the diamond every single day, play that many consecutive games". That's just production for a ball club.

"It just means I've kept my body in tune, in shape throughout all these years, all these games, 866", he told Fox Sports Ohio.
