New Pro Football League To Debut After 2019 Super Bowl

Former NFLers involved in league to rival XFL
Now, in the span of a couple months, we are potentially up to three football leagues by 2020.
Charlie Ebersol is the son of Dick Ebersol, who along with Vince McMahon, was behind the first, failed iteration of the XFL.
Like McMahon, Ebersol said the success of the league will live and die with good football, something that he thinks is achievable. Some advisers include Troy Polamalu, Hines Ward, Justin Tuck and Jared Allen, who is also an investor. Dick Ebersol will serve on the league's board of directors. The CBS broadcast network will air the league's debut game on February 9, and the league's championship game in April 2019. Their strategy is going after the diamonds in the rough who seemingly get overlooked.
For the 2017 NFL regular season, advertising revenue dropped 1.2% to $2.42 billion among four TV networks - CBS, NBC, Fox, and ESPN (not including the NFL Network) - according to Standard Media Index. There are eight teams with 50 man rosters and the league owning them outright, as opposed to franchise owners for each squad like the NFL. Teams will start with possession at their own 25-yard line. The play clock will be 30 seconds, not 45, as it is in the NFL. If the team converts the fourth-and-10, then the team will keep possession. To differentiate the Alliance of American Football from its competitors, there will be no TV timeouts and 60 percent fewer commercials.
This is not the case for everyone, but there was certainly a bit of intrigue when Vince McMahon announced the return of the XFLback in January.
Though Ebersol said they are not reinventing football, there will be changes made to the game. "We have to be able to take advantage of the people who just stop playing fantasy when the National Football League season ends". This is the big unknown. The AAF doesn't view itself as a league that is competing with the NFL, but one that will be complimentary to it.
Trump blocks Broadcom's attempt to buy Qualcomm
Nearly every major business and consumer electronics manufacturer uses Qualcomm's technology as brains for their devices. The other manufacturer with a dog in the fight (and a bone to pick with the U.S. government) is of course Huawei.
Where the XFL has more of a "Screw you" mentality toward the NFL, the Alliance of American Football seems to be more subtle in their philosophical differences with the NFL and is more of a supplement to the league.
Whenever you have an endeavor that involves the kind of teamwork football involves, it implies a partnership, the need to get their buy-in and do things, particularly in a startup, that represent their best interest ... to make sure players know we have their best interests at heart.
By then, two more pro leagues will enter your life. Maybe that also means we can see ads during National Football League broadcasts but I doubt that.

To celebrate this, TV3 is set to broadcast a rugby special tomorrow, entitled Ireland's Grand Slam, as the winners return home. Joey Carbery's conversion - on for Sexton while the Ireland starter was undergoing a HIA - left the half-time score at 21-5.

PM Justin Trudeau to tour Evraz Steel
However, he said, Canada would be alert to that and work with industry partners and the Americans to make sure that didn't happen. U.S. tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum would be "very harmful" for industry and workers in both countries, he added .
