British police have launched a murder inquiry after a Russian exile was found dead in his London home earlier this week.

On Monday, 12 March, Glushkov was found dead at his home in New Malden, according to Metropolitan police.

There is no evidence linking his death to the poisoning of ex-spy Sergei Skripal, who remains in a critical condition alongside his daughter after the pair were slipped a suspected nerve agent.

"A special post-mortem began on Thursday and we received the pathologist report today (Friday), which gave the cause of death as compression to the neck", police said in a statement.

The first leg at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, as iterated earlier, ended in a goalless draw that had very little quality.

Russia's Investigative Committee also announced that it had initiated a murder investigation into Glushkov's death, The Guardian reported.

The Met Police's Counter Terrorism Command, which led the investigation from the beginning, is "retaining primacy for the investigation because of the associations Mr Glushkov is believed to have had", a spokesperson said.

Glushkov was known to be close friends with Russian businessman Boris Berezovsky, who fled from Russian to the U.K.in the late 1990s after a falling out with Russian President Putin.

Glushkov, a longtime associate of the oligarch, had worked for various Berezovsky enterprises including the vehicle factory AvtoVAZ and flagship Russian airline Aeroflot.

After his death in 2013, an inquest failed to determine whether Berezovsky, who was found hanged at his home near London, had killed himself or died from foul play.

Mr Glushkov received political asylum in Britain after being jailed in Russian Federation for money laundering and fraud.

In light of the Salisbury attack, British police are looking again at the deaths of more than a dozen Russians in Britain, including Berezovsky.

But the key here is that we are likely to get a much fuller picture from the Senate probe and certainly the Mueller investigation. According to Nunes, nearly everyone in the Trump campaign had "testified under oath that they had no contacts with the Russians".

Mr Glushkov was a Russian national who had lived at Clarence Avenue, New Malden for two years.
