A high school student in Utah left a backpack containing a homemade bomb in the lunch area of the Pine View High School in Saint George. Police said if the device had detonated, it would have caused significant injury or death.
Police learned of the second threat Tuesday and were able to track the suspect down and make an arrest the same day, police said.
