It Looks Like Marvel Is Releasing A 'Venom' Teaser Trailer Tomorrow
"We all have our own problems. Our own issues. Our own...demons", Brock says.
We still can't believe there's a standalone Venom movie, but here's the trailer to prove it. Tom Hardy stars as the character who began life in the pages of Spider-Man.
When Sony announced they would be making a Marvel Venom spin-off movie supposedly in the same universe as Spider-man: Homecoming, fans were rightly nervous. From the trailer below, we certainly get the sense that director Ruben Fleischer has a government experiment vibe going in his film. Brock doesn't appear as his alter ego Venom in the footage. In fact, except for the Marvel logo as a hint, people who don't read Spider-Man or watched Spider-Man 3 (count yourself lucky) probably won't realize this movie is about a comic book character at all. And there have been hints that Tom Hardy's Peter Parker/Spider-Man could make a cameo as well.
Venom releases October 5, 2018. Hopefully, Sony has a better overall plan for their Spider-Man Universe.
In Marvel Comics continuity, the alien's first human host was actually Spider-Man, who acquired what he initially believed to be wondrous (and harmless) new costume while trapped on a distant planet during 1984's Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars.
Venom stars Tom Hardy as the titular symbiote, though we don't get a chance to see the anti-hero in action during the trailer.
Palestinian shot dead after stabbing Israeli
Israel had been looking for the final member of the cell which it said killed Rabbi Raziel Shevach in a drive-by shooting. Israeli forces have carried out daily raids and increased the arrests of Palestinians in the hunt of the perpetrator.
The cast joining Hardy includes Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott and Jenny Slate. Sony just released the first teaser for this fall's Venom, and surely fans will be buzzing about it for weeks.
It's written by Kelly Marcel, Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg (the latter two also co-wrote Jumanji) and produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach and Amy Pascal.
