In honor of the show's return to NY after 15 years in Los Angeles, there will be two Broadway tributes: Patti LuPone will return to croon "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" from her star-marking performance in Evita, and Dear Evan Hansen nominee Ben Platt will perform a classic from West Side Story in a tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber and Leonard Bernstein.

The Recording Academy announced last November that Jay-Z is nominated for eight honors, including album, song, and record of the year. He's resuming the duties this year - and he'll probably do a great job - but picking late-night hosts to helm awards shows has become a lazy crutch for both the networks and the awards organizations. Ella Fitzgerald was the only African American nominated in the Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year categories, which were won by Domenico Modugno's "Nel Blu Dipinto di Blu (Volare)" (record and song) and Henry Mancini's "The Music From Peter Gunn" (album). Despite her 13 Grammy nominations, Katy Perry - who with 6.0 million album and 91.5 million digital single sales is the 10th best selling artist of all time - has yet to win a Grammy Award. He faces tough competition in the Album of the Year category, going up against Kendrick Lamar's DAMN.

While numerous 2018 Grammy nominees top the Billboard charts and are some of the best-selling musicians today, few are among the best-selling artists of all time.

Nick Kay, the United Kingdom ambassador to Afghanistan, called the attack an outrage and crime against humanity. Charity groups continue to work under tough conditions in the country, facing regular attacks and kidnappings.

Mars is behind Jay-Z and Lamar with six nominations, including best R&B album, best R&B song and best R&B performance. While critics loved Lorde's Melodrama, she's the only album-of-the-year nominee that isn't nominated for one of the night's other major categories, which may signal that Grammys voters aren't as keen on her as a victor.

Who has won the most Grammys? It was all but assumed he'd take home a few trophies. In 2016, Lamar's breathlessly acclaimed To Pimp a Butterfly lost the album-of-the-year prize to Taylor Swift's 1989.

The 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards are produced by AEG Ehrlich Ventures for the Recording Academy. Of all the nominees this year, the song that best suits the category's recent trajectory is Logic's 1-800-273-8255, with a suicide-awareness message that voters will likely perceive as meaningful.

Oscar nominations: Winners, losers, and 'Boss Babies'
On the flip-side, of course, some films that were thought to be out of contention have racked up multiple awards. Israel, Esq .) was nominated for best actor , likely eclipsing James Franco ( Disaster Artist ).

Ed Sheeran was snubbed in the album, song and record of the year categories despite his romantic pop album "Divide" being the biggest seller of 2017.

Others slated to perform include Lady GaGa, Pink, Kendrick Lamar, Sam Smith, Elton John, and others. "Just something different just needs to win".

Will win: Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, Despacito feat. The competition is stiff, but "Flower Boy" may be special enough to upset in the Rap Album of the Year category.
