11 wounded as militants storm Save the Children office in Afghanistan

The director of the provincial health department said 11 wounded people had been taken to hospital. The casualty count might rise as a gun battle was still underway, he said.

Meanwhile, an official on condition of anonymity said the suicide vehicle bombing occurred next to the office of non-governmental organization Save the Children and a gun battle is going.

It was not known if any Save the Children staff remained in the building.
