South Africans vandalise H&M stores in protest of racist ad

In response to the advert, the EFF trashed H&M stores in Pretoria and Johannesburg and protests were also held at stores in Cape Town.

A worldwide media firestorm started earlier this week after pictures emerged of a young black boy model wearing "smartest monkey in the jungle hoodie".

Several stores belonging to Swedish clothing company H&M have been attacked and trashed by members of Economic Freedom Fighters.

The company's website shows that H&M has 17 stores in South Africa.

"H&M SA now has an obligation to register these concerns with their monitoring body as the fight against institutional racism is a fight we must all take on".

Hawaii tries to unravel missile miscue to stave off replay
Hawaiians have been told that they'll have 20 minutes to seek shelter if a missile were launched from North Korea . He said he was still in bed when the phone started going off "like insane ". "Haha glad to know we'll all be safe".

AfriForum deputy CEO Ernst Roets said the organisation was planning to lay these charges against Malema, Shivambu and Ndlozi because the three had allegedly used their influence to incite their supporters to carry out the protests at the stores.

Our position is simple and unequivocal-we have got this wrong and we are deeply sorry.

Some social media users shared footage claiming to show demonstrators throwing racks of clothing to the ground.

Whether or not you agree with the EFF's tactics, if their goal was to get H&M out of South Africa, they might've just did something.

However, according to spokesman Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, the EFF wasn't prepared to make amends.

"H&M is aware of Saturday's events inside several of our South African stores".
