OnePlus 5T Sandstone White variant has a striking resemblance to the Star Wars edition model but it lacks the Star Wars branding on the back and Star Wars wallpapers. The phone has a red alert slider and "Star Wars" inscribed on the rear panel made out of white Sandstone.
OnePlus claims that the 5T is the company's most competitive product to date, offering key hardware and software updates inspired by the active OnePlus community, including a higher resolution, 18:9 display, enhanced low-light camera performance and numerous new software features.
OnePlus has announced a new variant of its recent smartphone, OnePlus 5T. It will go on sale in US, Europe and other countries from 9th January.
We saw this coming, and while some us even expected a Sandstone Black version of the OnePlus 5T, for now, we are going to see the White one that is the same as the Star Wars Edition sans the Star Wars logo on the back. But that's nothing a clean cloth or a phone cover can't get you out of.
And if you're confused between the Midnight Black and Sandstone White, here's our take on what the new variant has to offer.
The first Sandstone phone that was launched by OnePlus was back when they launched their first phone, the OnePlus One. We do not now know whether the phone will sport a white Sandstone back or a black one. It is powered by a 64 bit 2.45GHz Octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Processor with 8GB of RAM. It has a dual rear camera at 16MP and 20MP while the front shooter is at 16MP. As Pei said: "The OnePlus 5T Sandstone White is the most complex device we have ever built". The smartphone retains the 16-megapixel selfie camera and runs OxygenOS based on Android 7.1 Nougat.
If you ask us, you will easily fall in love with the Sandstone White OnePlus 5T if you loved the overall OnePlus 5T design. It has a 3,300 mAh non-removable battery and has all the usual sensors, with the fingerprint sensor at the back and no home button. The Lava Red OnePlus 5T model is identical to the regular OnePlus 5T model, everything except its color, of course.
