HPD: Man arrested, found with guns, ammo in downtown hotel room

- Houston police have arrested a man who had an arsenal of weapons in his downtown Houston hotel room.

A local reporter said on Twitter that police had initially planned only to arrest the man for disorderly conduct and found the guns and ammunition in his hotel room while trying to collect his personal effects.

The man has been arrested on charges of unlawfully carrying a weapon and trespassing, according to KHOU Houston.

That's where they found an AR-15, a shotgun and a handgun, as well as "many rounds of ammunition", the paper reported. The man was taken to jail to await questioning.
