Amanda was a morning news anchor and noon news anchor for Atlanta's station CBS 46. CBS affiliate WGCL-TV reports that Davis, the station's morning news anchor, died Wednesday night.
She was arrested and charged with DUI after driving the wrong way on Piedmont Avenue in Midtown Atlanta in 2012 while she was at WAGA.
"Her family is asking for privacy at this hard time", the station said. She talked about her struggles with alcoholism in 2016 with the newspaper, saying that she attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings two to three times a week and saw a psychiatrist.
On December 24, Davis posted a Christmas message on Facebook that read, "The first Christmas after you lose someone is hard".
