Five-star defensive end Micah Parsons, a standout from Harrisburg High, pulled off a rare re-commitment on Wednesday when he signed a National Letter of Intent to play football at Penn State. Parsons actually chose Ohio State, but the Buckeyes reportedly self-reported a recruiting violation as Parsons apparently took a photo with ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit and former OSU running back Eddie George.

As a result of the infractions, Ohio State declared him ineligible for an unknown amount of time and will no longer recruit him.

Parsons is rated the No. 4 player nationally and top Pennsylvania prospect per 247 Sports.

Ohio State had to self-report a recruiting violation when Parsons was given access to the set to meet with the stars of College GameDay because it's against NCAA bylaws to interact with members of the media during a visit.

Ex-Wife Of Deceased NBA Star Lorenzen Wright Indicted For Murder
Wright's body was found in a swampy field outside of Memphis on July 28, 2010, 10 days after the 34-year-old was reported missing. Police believe that Turner and Sherra knew each other at the time of the murder, and worked with a third person to help them.

"In short, OSU had already made a decision to stop recruiting Parsons", Biddle wrote.

The Buckeyes are still expected to have one of the top classes in the country, but no matter whose version of "why" you believe it's clear that Micah Parsons won't be putting on a Buckeyes hat.

Due to FERPA protection, Parsons is unnamed in the self-reported violation records and is referred to as a "2018 prospective student-athlete".

Herbstreit tweeted out his side of the story late on Tuesday night.

Patrick wants kids but has said she wants to be married first; she was previously married to Paul Hospenthal for seven years. Stenhouse made the NASCAR playoffs for the first time in 2017 and will continue racing for Roush Fenway Racing next season.

"I think overall we did a pretty good job of [filling needs]", Franklin said. That move likely didn't do him any favors with the Ohio State coaching staff.

Parsons was the top-ranked uncommitted player in the Class of 2018. Oklahoma, Georgia and Nebraska are also candidates for Parsons' signature. The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder just wrapped up his official visit in Athens.

The five-star defensive end won't start with his hand in the dirt.
