The remains of three children uncovered in Montana are gaining traction as being those of three MI brothers who disappeared in 2010.

The brothers' mother, Tanya Zuvyers has said while she's holding onto hope her sons are alive, she realizes that's probably not the case and that instead, she'll see them in Heaven. They were ages 9, 7, and 5, respectively. "And the thing is, we don't know that this particular case is isolated to the city of Missoula".

Michigan State Police issued a press release Friday confirming that investigators are working with Missoula police to determine if there's any connection to the brothers.

When the news was made public in December, police in the small town of Morenci, Michigan took note.

Missoula police started to investigate the remains after a cleaning crew found them when the property owner was evicted, the Missoulian reported.

"Loose teeth, there was what appeared to be bone from a lower jaw, and others that were not as specifically described, but I would call them pieces of bones", Missoula Police spokesman Sgt. Travis Welsh told KPAX.

Seven years ago, three local boys - Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton - went missing, a disappearance that remains unexplained.

"This information has just been presented to our family within the last several hours", Zuvers wrote.

The boys disappeared after their father, John Skelton, failed to return them back to their mother's MI home. We are thankful for all your thoughts and prayers. Police believe he killed the children because of a nasty custody fight.

"Answers. We've been praying for answers", she said. He later changed his story, saying he had given them to an organization to protect them from their mother.
