Donald Trump Jr. Inadvertently Reminds the Internet That Free Candy Is for Socialists
A tweet from Donald Trump Jr jokingly threatening to commandeer his daughter's Halloween candies has generated significant discussion online. "It's never to early to teach her about socialism", the president's eldest son tweeted on Tuesday along with a photo of his daughter dressed as a police officer and holding a bucket of candies.
Trump Jr tweeted a picture of his daughter, with the words: "I'm going to take half of Chloe's candy tonight & give it to some kid who sat at home".
Fill her bucket with old candy left by her great-grandfather, then explain that she has more because she's smarter than all the other kids. "Or you could tell her you're taking it to help kids with cancer but then leave a wrapper trail so she can learn how Trump charities work", the user wrote. "So cute and it's nice to see they respect law enforcement and the military already".
The tweet was immediately met with backlash, with many social media users taking issue with Trump Jr.'s analogy.
Clearly, people had a problem using children tot make political points, also Trump Jr. spelled "too" wrong while trying to teach a lesson, so there's that.
Kevin Keller asked: "What if the other kid was at home studying the difference between "to" and "too" rather than collecting free candy?"
