North Korea labels Donald Trump a 'war merchant and strangler of peace'

North Korea labels Donald Trump a 'war merchant and strangler of peace'

Through its state-run media, North Korea has vented its anger at China, criticizing its longtime ally for approving U.N. sanctions against Pyongyang in support of the United States.

Despite arms trade being a common global practice, the USA is "abusing it for world domination beyond the commercial purposes". Earlier this week the USA flew two supersonic heavy bombers over the Korean peninsula, staging the first night- time joint aviation exercises with Japan and South Korea.

North Korea threatened Australia of dire consequences if it continues to back USA military, economic and diplomatic pressure on Pyongyang, its state-run media said Saturday.

However unlikely, if North Korea eventually refrained itself from provocation until next month when US President Trump is slated to visit South Korea and other countries in the region, it would help create momentum for negotiation, analysts said.

President Erdogan says Turkey helps militant group's offensive in Idlib
The FSA groups supported by Turkey are now ready to enter Idlib, Mustafa Sejari, a senior official in the Liwa al-Mutasem group said.

Though the North historically tended not to provoke directly during the military drills, its official KCNA news agency on Saturday slammed the joint exercise as a "reckless act of war maniacs".

Earlier this week, Pyongyang again threatened to fire "a salvo of missiles" at the United States territory of Guam, and keep its hands "closer to [the] trigger" due to the drills. In July, North Korea made two test launches of ballistic missiles.

With the U.S. mulling military intervention in North Korea, Russia and China have been calling for restraint. According to Japanese newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun, Trump will make the speech in Seoul, during his 12-day visit to Asian nations, and he will look to up the pressure on Pyongyang, stressing that the North Korea situation is the administration's most important challenge.
