After a number of protesting students, including women, and two journalists were injured in a lathicharge by the police in the Banaras Hindu University (BHU), the Uttar Pradesh government on September 25 has removed three additional city magistrates and two policemen. "Lathicharge on BHU students is condemnable".

Demanding better security arrangements and CCTV cameras, hundreds of women students protested against increased incidents of eve-teasing.

She also wrote that unidentified students from DU and JNU have also come down to BHU to "take part" in the protest, thereby distorting it completely to suit their vested interests. We can also see the images of the students who were injured in the lathi charge. Yet, BHU vice-chancellor Girish Chandra Tripathi, much like his counterparts in HCU, Apparao, and JNU, M Jagadesh Kumar, instead of listening to the women students complaining repeatedly, chose to call in the police to beat the protesters up.

"One who is so insensitive to the genuine concerns of women students and rather than empathising with them, the university goes and colludes in the most barbaric lathi-charge", he added.

N. Korean ambassador skips Trump's United Nations speech
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, speaking in Ottawa before heading to NY , called for diplomacy in the wake of Mr. He encouraged other nations to follow his "America first" doctrine and put their own interests first.

"We are here to remind the HRD ministry about their responsibility of looking into the problems at BHU", said Saket Bahuguna, national media convener of ABVP. The protest was triggered by an alleged case of sexual harassment of a female student by motorcycle-borne men inside the campus. "I have sought a report from the divisional commissioner, Varanasi, about the entire incident", the CM said on Sunday. The warden's response angered the student's colleagues, who sat on a "dharna" at the main gate on Thursday night. The routing of the RSS-affiliated ABVP in all of these student elections point towards how the narrative is shifting from under Modi-Yogi's control, even as the JNU V-C insists on putting a tank in the middle of the campus to instill nationalism among the students.

Protesting students in BHU have alleged that they wanted to enter the premises of the Vice-chancellor to urge him to take necessary steps to ensure women's safety. The DM has ordered for closing of all the universities, including the higher educational institutions, in the city on Monday.

The leader said she nevertheless wanted the worldwide community to know what was being done by her government. Many reported that their villages had been burned down and that those who stayed were killed.

The victim in her complaint claimed that the college administration refused to take any action against the molesters and shamed her for awkward hostel timings.

An alumnus of BHU on conditions of anonymity said that the poor condition of girl students in the University has not changed since years with "the presence of misogynist and patriarchic elements at all levels" on the campus.

Arsenal v West Brom preview: Mesut Ozil back in contention for Gunners
A possible crossroads, if you like, where things could go backwards, sideways, or hopefully onwards after a slow and shaky start. Barry moved level with Ryan Giggs' tally of 632 games last weekend as Albion were held to a goalless draw by West Ham.

More than 1,000 unidentified students have been booked for violence, arson, disrupting government work on the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) campus where violence erupted on Saturday night. Students gathered near Vice Chancellor's residence and hurled stones and petrol bombs at the police and other security forces who tried to prevent them from causing any damage.
